Bati market is actually composed of three markets : cereals (teff, barley, wheat, oats…), livestock (sheep, goats, zebus, camels, donkeys…) and the general public market.

The little town of Bati is known for its large and colorful Monday market, which attracts many different people – Afar, Oromo and Amharas – from all around. People walk sometimes more than five hours to get there.
